Last year, PR Newswire reported that IAP Worldwide had acquired two of DRS Technologies’ businesses; DRS Aviation and Logistics (DRS A&L) business and DRS Tactical Communication & Network Solutions (DRS TCNS) business. These two businesses are located in Oklahoma City, OK. DRS A&L provides services including logistics, aircraft repair management, and mission support equipment. DRS TCNS, on the other hand, provides communication support technology solutions, IT, and engineering services to the United States’ DOD as well as other commercial agencies.

The move to acquire both A&L and TCNS was to allow IAP to integrate the exceptional capabilities and talents of the DRS’s human resources as part of its larger long-term growth strategy. With the two companies by its side, IAP Worldwide Services targeted to deliver to clients worldwide as well as double the size of its existing market. The acquired businesses were meant to create two new business units; the Aviation and Engineering Solutions, and the National Security Programs to allow the company to expands its portfolio of services and solutions to many more organizations and commercial agencies.

The acquisition was in line with the long-term mission of the company; solving as many challenging problems as possible using expertise, proven technology, and ingenuity. The acquisition also demonstrated the support that IAP Worldwide has for its board and investors as well as its long-term commitment to serving its government clients.
